Casting Call!

• Production: UNF Opera’s Merry Widow (Director: Dr. John Daugherty)

• Auditions: Nov. 26 from 3:00 – 6:00 (Building 45, Room 1404)

• Signup: Walk-ins accepted, preference for signups with Esteban Cano: n01429165@unf.edu

• Commitment: Weekly rehearsals in Spring ’25 with performances April 11 and 13 in Robinson Theater

• Casting: Both roles and chorus parts are available, and you don't need to have taken voice lessons or have prior experience to audition to be part of this multi-discipline collaboration including instrumentalists in the pit and artisans from the UNF Art Dept. Our production of Franz Lehár's operetta (to be performed in English) is a wild comedy featuring opportunities for all involved to dance, act, and sing!

• Audition Guidelines: We welcome auditionees who are not Opera Majors! Just bring two memorized songs, both of which can be in English. Any musical style is acceptable, but songs with lyric tunes are encouraged. Non-major auditions can be heard acapella, but if you want to perform with piano please bring your selections in a three-ring binder, double sided and hole-punched. (Please only bring piano+vocal arrangements; no lead sheets or chord symbols.)
